Tim Mooney, Founder and Director of New Media
Tim Mooney is a Washington, DC-based entrepreneur and New
Media Director for Nineball Media. Tim has a passion for
taking technology from its geeky origins, harnessing it to
make lives easier and more entertaining. Hardly one to rest
on his laurels, Tim has a small notebook inside his
messenger bag that contains (approximately) 73 additional
ideas for start-up businesses that are in various stages of
planning.
Tim’s podcasting and new media experience began in 2005 as
the producer and co-host of Alliance for Justice’s
Supreme Court Watch, a
podcast focused on the Supreme Court nominations of
John Roberts, Harriet Miers and Samuel Alito. The
podcast quickly became a fixture in the top-10 list of
iTunes’ political podcast directory, and was featured
in
The
Washington Post,
The
Seattle Times, and National Public Radio’s
All Things
Considered.
Following the success of Supreme Court Watch, Tim served as
a production consultant for several DC-area podcasts,
including
Hip Tranquil Chick,
BuyIndie and
The Education Gadfly.
In 2007, he founded Nineball Media, expanding his
business to include technical consulting and
innovative podcasting services. Tim also serves as a
board member of
Tranquil Space Foundation, a public
charity focused on enhancing women's lives through
yoga, creativity and leadership.
Tim received a B.S. from Syracuse University/SUNY College
of Environmental Science & Forestry and a J.D. from
Pace University School of Law.
